Rio Blanco County Facilities

Facilities Management maintains county buildings, tower sites, and grounds. Services include snow removal, landscaping, custodial work, and office moves. The department oversees capital projects but does not manage the shop yard areas, airports, Columbine Park in Rangely, or the Fairfield Complex in Meeker.

Responsibilities include:

  • Routine cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and offices.
  • Landscaping and snow removal during staff absences.
  • Ordering and delivering paper products, cleaning supplies, and breakroom items.
  • Monitoring utility usage and addressing concerns.
  • Assisting Fleet Management with pool vehicles.
  • Repairing county equipment and furniture as time allows.

The department also manages scheduling for community events at Town Square Park and supports setup and removal of event tents.

Columbine Park

Columbine Park offers facilities for equine activities, rodeos, animal boarding, and other recreational and educational activities. It is used by 4-H programs, CNCC educational programs, and the public.

Columbine Park 4H Community Pens
These pens provide opportunities for youth to raise livestock and participate in Rio Blanco County 4H programs. Please review the Community Pen Rules and Regulations Agreement, fill it out, and send it to the 4H Extension Office for pen assignment.

Radino Senior Center

The Radino Senior Center, opened in 1984, offers a space for adults, especially those 60 and older, to stay active and socialize. The 3,700 sq. ft. facility includes a commercial kitchen, dining hall, and billiards room. It primarily serves the White River Roundup senior nutrition program but is open for other uses.

The Fairfield Event Hall offers an event hall and commercial kitchen, accommodating up to 240 people, and is available for evening and weekend events. For reservations, please email facilities@rbc.us or call (970)878-9560.

Located just south of the Fairfield Event Center, the Fairfield Apartments are managed by Meeker Colorado Civic Improvement Corporation (MCCIC) Board. For inquiries, please contact the MCCIC Board at mccic23@gmail.com or call (970) 814-6042.

The Rio Blanco County Meeker Downtown Plaza is a two-block open park space on Main Street between 4th and 6th Streets, in front of the Historic RBC Courthouse and Justice Center.
