The special meeting today resulted in the following:
Commissioners gave direction to the county attorney to draft a ballot question regarding a sales tax increase that is passed, would be allocated to dispatch services. The deadline for ballot questions is 5pm Friday 9/4 and another meeting will be held in order for the board to vote on the proposed question before that date. The date/time of that meeting is not yet determined but the required 24 hours notice will be given and will likely be on Friday.
Commissioners gave direction to the Budget Director to adjust the 2021 budget and include the following proposed changes:
Combine IT/Communications
Combine Natural Resources, Economic Development, GIS, Planning, Building and Emergency Management
Merge Sales/Use Tax into Finance/Budget Department
