Meeting summary-01

Workshop and BOCC Meeting Summary- 10/27/2020

Note: Starting October 13, work sessions will be scheduled on a rolling starting basis in order to be most efficient with time.

  • The BOCC met with representatives from White River Electric Association to discuss WREA's request for additional fibers to all them to provide data service along County Road 8 in the future.  The Board requested the WREA representatives meet with county IT and Communications employees to discuss further details.
  • The BOCC heard a monthly from Public Health Director Alice Harvey, who mentioned the 4 new cases in Rio Blanco County recently, two in the Meeker area and two in the Rangely area.  Harvey indicated the cases were all independent of one another (not in the same household), and at least one of the cases are likely stemming from out-of-town hunters that also tested positive.  Any hunters or visitors that test positive will not count as a positive for Rio Blanco County, as they are counted in the county in which they reside permanently.
