Rio Blanco County Public Health works to protect and improve the health of our communities. We serve the community as a whole—identifying health needs, helping prevent illness and injury, connecting people with services, and working with community partners to address issues that affect the health and well-being of Rio Blanco County residents.
- Communicable Disease:
We educate, investigate and provide referrals to prevent and prepare for epidemics and the spread of disease - Environmental Health: We work to minimize negative impacts to public health and the environment to ensure safe and clean food, water and air.
- Food Safety: We help protect citizens and visitors to the county from food-borne illness by inspecting retail food establishments, providing education about proper food handling, and through food product recalls.
