DHS Grievance Procedure

If you wish to file a complaint or raise concerns related to your DHS case, you may do so through the following established processes:

Rio Blanco County Department of Human Services (DHS)

You may file a grievance by following these steps:

  • Contact your assigned caseworker.
  •  If unresolved, request to speak with the caseworker’s supervisor by calling 970-878-9640.
  •  If still unresolved, you may request a meeting with the DHS Director.
  • You may submit a written grievance to the DHS Director.

The Director will respond within 20 calendar days. A final written decision will be issued within 35 days, if applicable.
